Florida League Staff
Rob is a local product, hailing from nearby Longwood. He starred at Lake Brantley High School as a pitcher where, in 1997, he earned All-State and All-American honors, was named the Orlando Sentinel Central Florida High School Player of the Year, and won a state championship. He played baseball at Rollins College where he earned 1st team All-Conference recognition in 2002. Upon graduation, he was hired as pitching coach at Rollins from 2003-2006. He later attended UCF, where he earned his MBA and a master's degree in sports business management. Rob lives in College Park with his wife Emily and two sons, Reid and Graham.
Stefano is a native of Evanston, IL, where he lettered in baseball and basketball in high school. He played baseball at Rollins College from 2002-2008, where he won numerous awards including conference player of the week and a gold glove. While at Rollins, he earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and his master's in business administration. He started with the Florida League as a league intern in 2007.
Director of League Operations
Phil was born in Detroit, MI and has lived in 8 states, including Alaska, where he won a state championship in basketball. He attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where he worked as a student manager on the baseball team and earned his bachelor's degree in sports management. Phil began working with the Florida League as a league operations intern in 2010.
Royce "Scooter" Morrison
Umpire Coordinator/Assigning Agent
Royce "Scooter" Morrison is a life long Floridian and friend of baseball. He began umpiring at 15 years of age and fell in love with the game. Scooter has worked in college baseball since 2001 and is an accomplished football official as well. Scooter is the founder and CEO of American Sports Officials, Inc., a training and assigning company for Sports officials. His passion for leading people, love of sports, and involvement in Central Florida make him an asset to The Florida League. He has a wife & two children, and also serves as a pastor at a church in Titusville.
Ian "Doc" Nathanson
Supervisor of Officials
Ian Nathanson served as the first FCSL supervisor of officials in 2004 and will resume the role again in 2015. Before moving to Florida, Ian worked for over 20 years as on-ice hockey official at the high school, junior, college and professional levels. After retiring from hockey he turned his interests to baseball and has coached high school baseball in the Orlando area for 9 years, including a stint as coach in the FCSL Futures League
Born on Long Island, N.Y. Brian has been with the Florida League since its first game was played in 2004. A graduate of Oviedo High School and the University of Central Florida, he remains a loyal and passionate New York Mets fan. Brian lives in Orlando with his wife Christina and their two boys Shea and Carter
Aldrin was born and raised in the Sunshine State. He went to school for Environmental Science, but soon found a passion for photography. He has been the Florida League's official photographer sinc 2012. You can find more of his work at www.aldrincapulong.com.
