5th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Florida League relies on donations, sponsors, and fundraisers to operate every year. For the past five years, Interlachen Country Club in Winter Park, FL has been gracious enough to host our annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year, as thirty foursomes from all over the country descend on Central Florida to take part in this exciting event.

While playing a round of golf at this luxurious course is a treat in itself, each golf group is also joined by a baseball celebrity. We are proud to have the support of former World Series champions, MVPs, CY Young Award winners and Rookie of the Year recipients.

Our 2012 tournament was the most successful to date, as we were able to raise over $60,000 through participating golfers, sponsors, donations and our silent auction. Celebrities in attendance included: Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson, San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence, 500 HR club member Gary Sheffield, former all-star MVP Fred McGriff, 1985 Rookie of the Year Vince Coleman and more!

A special thank you goes out to our event sponsors: UBS Financial (Presenting Sponsor), Nike, Loudmouth Golf and of course, Interlachen Country Club. We would also like to thank the dozens of businesses and individuals who donated items for our silent auction.
