Florida League Player of the Week - Week 6, 2026
SANFORD, Fla.- Throughout the 2026 season, the Florida Collegiate Summer League will honor two players at the conclusion of each week, an FCSL Player of the Week and an FCSL Pitcher of the Week. This week's honors represent performances from Monday, July 6 through Sunday, June 12. The weekly honors are selected via a vote of league coaches and officials.
For the second time this season, the Player of the Week comes from the DeLand Suns, as Boomer Rogozinski (Stetson) wins the award. Rogozinski was the driving force behind DeLand's 3-1 series victory over Winter Garden, powered by his efforts on Friday night. The incoming Stetson freshman went 3-for-5 with three doubles, driving in five runs and scoring another. He also accounted for the game-tying run in DeLand's dramatic series clinching victory over the Squeeze Saturday night at Conrad Park.
The Georgia native has been arguably the best incoming freshman in the Florida League this season. Entering the final week of the regular season, Rogozinski ranks in the top ten in the Florida League in hits (26), runs scored (20), runs batted in (14), total bases (33), stolen bases (21), and batting average (.321). He also enters the final week of the regular season on a 21-game on base streak.
The Sanford River Rats continue their dominance of the Pitcher of the Week award, as Christopher Keltz (Undecided) gives the Rats their third award winner of the season. Keltz got the ball from coach Mike McDaniel on Friday, and shut down the Orlando Snappers at Orel Hershiser Field. He struck out eight hitters across six innings, allowing just one hit and a lone unearned run. Keltz picked up the win in a 12-2 River Rats triumph, part of a 2-1-1 series victory for Sanford.
Since making his first appearance on June 16, Keltz has been one of the top starting pitchers in the league. The former St. Pete College product has logged a 2.08 earned run average, allowing a WHIP of just 0.98. Keltz has allowed just eleven hits across his 17.1 innings pitched, striking out 14 hitters. He has a 3-0 record on the mound, making him one of just five pitchers in the FCSL with three or more wins.
Additionally, the Florida League honors one player from each team that was not selected as Player or Pitcher of the Week.
