The Florida League is excited to announce that the 15th Annual Florida League Celebrity Golf Tournament will take place on Sunday & Monday, November 12&13 at the stunning Heathrow Country Club in Lake Mary Florida. The event will once again offer golfers and baseball fans the opportunity to mingle with impressive professional baseball celebrities from yesterday and today.
The annual golf tournament is one of two major fundraisers that the Florida League hosts each year.
Tournament festivities will kick off with a deluxe pairings party the evening of Sunday November 12th. The pairings party features heavy hors d'oeuvres, a live auction, a special guest speaker and the opportunity for guests to mingle with celebrities. It will take place in the ballroom at Heathrow Country Club.
On Monday November 13th, golfer registration and the practice area opens to guests at 10am. Prior to golf, lunch will be served on the patio near the driving range. The unforgettable round of golf will begin with a shot-gun start at 11:30am.
Heathrow Country Club is a private Ron Garl designed golfers paradise. The course is a shot-makers paradise and each hole can be attacked with a different strategy making it an interesting set up for a scramble. The Par 71 course features water on all but two holes and the 12th hole island green will make you double-check your club selection. Host of nine US Open qualifiers, Heathrow has also been home for PGA players Chris DeMarco, Cliff Kresge, Danny Ellis, Jim Thorpe, Donnie Hammond, Lion Kim and Fulton Allem.
While playing a round of golf at this luxurious course is a treat in itself, each golf group is also joined by a baseball celebrity. We are proud to have the support of former World Series Champions, MVPs, CY Young Award winners, #1 overall draft picks and Rookie of the Year recipients.
The cost for this year's event is $750 for an individual or $3,000 for a foursome.
