Get to know your 2024 Orlando Snappers: Interns
Cara Elmendorf - General Manager
A Florida native, Cara Elmendorf, will enter her first year as the Snapper’s General Manager.
Currently, Cara is pursuing her master’s degree in Sport Management at the University of Connecticut (UConn), after completing her bachelor’s degree in communications in December 2023.
Cara, a 22-year-old graduate student, transferred to UConn in January 2022 after spending two years at North Carolina State University as part of their women’s soccer team. At UConn, she continued to play Division 1 soccer for the Huskies, completing her four years on the field.
Cara has a high interest in staying involved in the world of sport while using it as a tool to engage with and reach vulnerable populations. She has a strong passion for storytelling, especially that of an athlete, which at times gets lost in the business side of sports.
Her career aspirations align with the missions of entities like ESPN’s Citizenship Program, their 30 for 30 documentary series, and the Players’ Tribune, founded by Derek Jeter.
